The Grey Highlands' South Grey Museum is a purpose -built facility which opened in 1974, hosts a community history collection
representing the settlement and development of Southern Grey County. The museum seeks to tell local stories from a vast collection of artifacts. Rotating exhibits offer opportunities to view history through the objects and stories of people from early eras in our community. A large collection of family genealogical records, local history books and other pertinent resources as well as photographs are available for research purposes.
The museum is located in Flesherton beside the village's Memorial Park, offering a visitor information centre for newcomers to the area with a welcoming atmosphere and assistance to find their own stories and adventures in the community. The local Flesherton-Markdale Royal Canadian Legion Branch 333 hosts a community Remembrance Day Service for the village every year at the local cenotaph.
School groups and special interest groups are welcome to attend the museum for a small admission price. Local organizations like Heritage Grey Highlands hold their meetings at the museum.
